OK Scotland, when did you last check your eyes?

You’re on it. Keep up the great work maintaining your eye health.

Time to check. It’s recommended to have a routine check every two years.

Can't remember?

That’s your sign. Don’t wait for symptoms—book your examination today.

We don’t always think about our eye health until something changes. But your eyes deserve a little attention too.

An eye examination is about more than checking whether you need glasses or vision correction. It’s an opportunity to check the health of your eyes, spot changes you might not have noticed yourself and, in some cases, identify signs of other health conditions.

Information

For most people aged 16–59, a routine eye examination is recommended every 2 years.

If you’re under 16, 60 or over, or have certain health conditions or risk factors, you may need to go more often. Your optometrist can let you know when you should come back.
